And...We're Back!

After a whirlwind romance, a sweet love story, and a swift move from the NorthEast to the South, I, Cara Linn, am back now and better than ever! To all my loyal followers, friends and clients old and new, I've taken a few months off but look forward to sharing this new year and new season of life and business with you! My prayer for all who read this blog is that 2010 would be full of joy, blessing, and more of God's presence than you've ever experienced. That is what I know to be the secret to living the Sweet Life!

Enjoy our wedding photos Finally! I am posting our wedding cakes you've all been waiting to see. Also, if you're in the AMARILLO area, come to the High Plains Bridal Show on January 10! www.highplainsweddings.com
Cara Linn, Inc. will have a booth and lots of delicious samples. Come see us!

Our Wedding Cake
Shimmery ivory fondant with white handmade gumpaste flowers
The idea behind this cake was chic and simple, because the real star of the show was...

The Groom's Cake!
I surprised James with this Groom's cake that was like none other. I wrote an acronym poem with the letters of his name that tied the whole cake together. It was full of all of his favorite things! Making this cake for him will always be one of my most sweetest memories.

I picked all of my favorite flavors for these cakes.
Three tiers of the wedding cake were "Champagne Chic" with Strawberry Buttercream.
I even created a new flavor that I think will forever "stick" and be a big seller:
"Nutty Pumpkin". It was Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cake paired with
Peanut Butter Buttercream.
Scrumptious!

The Groom's Cake was filled with Red Velvet and Cream Cheese Filling (James' fave!) as well as
"Cara's Chocolate" cake with Nutella Buttercream

And if you've read my book, you'll understand why we chose to serve ice cold
Milk with our Cake!

And of course, we had lots of Sweet Things for all to enjoy

Even Cotton Candy!
We rented a real machine and had it made right in front of our guests

And on their way out, guests treated themselves to a
Cheesecake Lollipop, specialty of Cara Linn, Inc.
They were dipped in white chocolate and coated with Pink Sugar

Glad to be back! Stay tuned for changes coming in the New Year - we hope you'll be a part of all that's happening.

Love, Cara Linn

  4. Where are you located at? I live in Canyon, but would LOVE to take one of your classes. And I love the grooms cake by the way. I love cakes that are individualized and that have lots of meaning and don't necessarily "fit the mold" for what a traditional wedding cake should be.
